What a week!!!

I was surprised to find out that my sisters were coming here for a visit about 7 hours before they flew in!! This might not sound like a big deal, but in the history of my family (Poulton side) that gesture has NEVER. BEEN. MADE. EVER. I was so shocked and overwhemled by it all that I had to touch them every so often to make sure they were really there and I wasn't having some
"third trimester episode" or something. Noah was in heaven because they spoil him with love!








Mac knew the whole time and was just as excited as I was, but he kept it on the down low until the day of...
While the Darlings were here we went to an expo to pick up Mac's marathon packet. Noah played some sort of kid tennis and I tried all the samples of things (do not recommend because they really don't sell good snacky foods). We shopped and went to lunch. I was so content...







So, as stated above-Mac ran a marathon...the day before his birthday and did GREAT! Then we went to T-Rex Cafe to celebrate. Noah was completely taken with it. It really is an amazing restaurant. Kind of like Rain Forest Cafe, but all dinosaurs.




Mac was given a mug that Noah painted. It's so darn ugly. Green, Orange and purple, but Mac loved it and will be able to use it (I hope). Happy 31st my Hummingbird Husband. You are truly loved.

Maturity

Mac was running late to an event the other night, so he quickly got in the shower and I thought, "How can I assist him so that he's not late?" So I kindly barricaded the bathroom door.

I couldn't quiet get all the crap I had put directly in front of the door, but these pics will do for now.



Ahhhh, can't wait until the kids get old enough that I can start in on them too. Suckers, or get mega karma back for tormenting my docile spouse.

Nauvoo, IL to Madison, WI

Mac got a vacation so we piled in the car to go see Mac's sister Christie. We drove through Nauvoo so I could do some temple work. The temple was beautiful. I didn't realize how TINY the town was (1100 people!!).

When we drove in to Madison it was pretty dark, but you could still see the lakes on either side of the road as you drove into the city. It was stunning.

We went on walks around the lakes. Christie has a dog named Maybelle and Noah went crazy for her!! He HAD to walk her, lay by her, feed her, etc... as much as possible. You could tell she was ready for him to leave...haha.

We went out with some good friends- the Faulkner's and Noah and their little girl, Amelia got to feed the ducks. They had a blast doing it. And yes, we fed them right by the "Do Not Feed Ducks" sign.

We went to the children's museum and painted, climbed (well, Noah and Mac did) and ran around.

The very last night we went out to dinner and on the way back to the car who did we see?? Oh, just THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNTIED STATES. It was pretty cool to see him waving and all of the cars that surround him at all times. Don't judge the horrible picture.

Anyway, great trip!
We loved every minute we got to spend with Chris and will miss her very much!!
