Photogs!!!

Alright, I got pictures done for my boys. I'm in love. Here are a few of them and if you're wondering, yes, I did contact JCrew and told them they sponsored my eldest son's outfit. I'm sure they really, really care too.

October Recap

Ugh, Kansas has made me lazy. Yep. Kansas.
So, here is what happened last month and the beginning of this one.
First, Noah's soccer team lost the finals. He was devastated-aka-mainly cloud watching during most games, but he really did feel amazing with that darn medal.

Second, Halloween. Noah went as a skeleton to the pre-school parade then later went trick or treating as a ninja. Wills was a hotdog at the parade and a skeleton later that eve.
I was Awesome.
Mac was Big Bird.

Halloween night...

Trunk or Treat eve...

We also had...wait for it....WAIT FOR IT...WILLS BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!
I know, right!!??? He hasn't changed for a few months so I'm still whacked out.

Ghetto cupcakes. I'm not saying that to get compliments...I mean gross cupcakes.

Maybe he did try to grab the flame. Who knows?

Not too sure about ice cream...

but sure enough to rub it all over...

Happy Birthday DOVE & DOVE!!

Lastly, Fall is in process of shedding leaves, which means that our front or backyard is in a constant state of disarray, but man, the boys love it.

Love you all.

September Recap-

So Mac and I had our anniversary over Labor day weekend. We drove 4 hours to the St. Louis temple. Where we did sealings. We met a couple there being sealed together and their children after 40 years? It was amazing.

We (me) ate two bags of really, really chocolatey covered pretzels. I feel that it was important to mention the pretzels for some reason...in case you feel prompted to make and send me some...(hint, hint Meggles).

Noah started school and is playing a soccer game every Saturday morning. GOOOO TIGERS #7!!

Noah did a Mom's Night Out for his class and sang the cutest songs and made me a corsage. He was the only one that had to be scolded numerous time to pay attention. He really is my son.

At one point in my life I made a promise to myself that if I had two of the same gender I wouldn't dress them like twins. I think it's really lame...

AND I DID IT ANYWAY!!!!

Kiawah Island, SC

We had a blast on this family trip with Mac's sisters and their family!!
Alligators, bike rides on the beach, beach time with the cousins, tantrums, glow sword fighting, toad fish catching, ice cream eating and dolphin sighting... Noah even warmed up the trip by playing a shark at the airport playground with the other kids.

Proof he's mine...

If there was any question that Noah wasn't mine...here's the proof. What to do with a baby bouncer than put your head in it and jump around? Sorry Mac...

Look who's gone mobile. Honeymoon's over!!! Time to work!

Annnnddddd Boom goes the dynamite....

If you know Noah then you know he is a titch accident prone. It's his darn "thin skin"...or luck.
And yes, for the 1 brillionth time I didn't catch the fact that his whole side of his head was bloody. One more reason I shouldn't be breeding. Anyway, he fell going down our outside steps and introduced his forehead to our brick patio.
Mac's skillz were called into action immediately. Mac and the rest of the men at our home (missionaries and some other friends) got to help wrap Noah up while Mac went to work. I was a good mother and left the house. Seriously, the screams that come out of his mouth have made me almost pass out before...don't judge.

Good thing I was gone cause Mac told me that the numbing medicine was expired and Noah felt everything...

Did great though...4 "itches" and a Popsicle later he was he happy little self again. Wills stayed asleep the entire time.

LOVE YOU BRAVE BOY!!! And great job dad!!!

Father's Day and Locks of Love-

Mach,
You're a great dad. You love your boys so much and they lurve you back. Noah is always copying you (by some miracle it's not your language). Thank you for being you!!

Without you Noah wouldn't get a sneak peak at being an 80's porn star...

Without you Wills wouldn't know what it would be like to have his toes eaten by baby goats.

Without you Noah would never have caught that fish.

Without you the boys wouldn't have so much fun in the water!!! Even though Noah is splashing Wills and he hates it.

If you haven't noticed...

That is now...

This...I mean, I just can't do it too short...painful. Even though the lady didn't realize Noah was male until she started talking to him. Since it's in the mid 90's now I figured he sweats enough as is...

Weddings and What-not's

Went to SLC for my sister's wedding. Do you ever catch yourself thinking, "I need to redo our wedding pictures and my dress, etc..."? Cause that's what I did. Loved everything about Maggie's wedding. Her colors were cream and black and instead of bouquets for us we had chiffon flowered clutches!!!

Then came home and had a birthday party for Noah...he's 4...years old...blast time!!! Slow down! Happy Birthday my sweet, sweet boy!!

The cake was INTENSELY creative.

Uhm, don't know what this is, but he saw the stinkin' commercial and wears it all the time.

Mac was trying out celibacy. Guess he needed someone else to look perverted with...

Then I ran a half marathon called-Hospital Hill. Wow. Didn't know it was in the top 10 hardest halfs in the country, but I sure wasn't doubting when two people were put on stretchers and taken away by ambulance (5 miles into the race!!). It was 90 degrees by 9:00am. Really up hill and really hot, hence...the name...

Golden Birthday/Mother's Day

First off, Happy Mother's Day! Secondly, how come you didn't buy me any birthday presents?
Well, at least some of you did and for that you will continue being my friends for the time being. Just probably kidding!!! Really.

So I am 29 now. Weird. Mac took me to get a pedi (yes, Mac got one too!) and then took me to PF Chang's (orange peel chicken, yay!) at the Plaza. It was all sorts of entertainment. I guess a guy got road rage and hit an elderly woman with a cane just a block away from the restaurant. Birthday entertainment I guess.

My friend Mel got me some Christopher Elbow chocolates and they are as good as they are pretty.

Mother's Day always reminds me of the privilege I've been given to have children in our home. My boys are miracles that I am grateful for everyday.
Thank you mom for all your love and support through the years. You are loved! And very appreciated!
And thank you to all of my darling friends and family that inspire me to be a better mother. Love you all!

Spring has Sprung!

I love the KC actually has a spring. I love that our backyard (still can't believe we even have one!) has little flowers blooming all over the grass.

I ran a half marathon on Saturday the 16th (it's called the Oz marathon and the Wicked Fast half, which isn't). Anyway, fun, fun. The wind was blowing so hard I looked like I was drunk. I would just jerk to the right or left for no reason.

We then went to an earth fair where I fell in love with a tiny Screech Owl! I want one! Wills is pretty cute too.

And they had these stadium benches that you could neither sit or stand on...I guess squatting is okay.

Then we went to our neighbors house for his friend's birthday party. Indiana Jones theme. So cute. Mac and Wills hung out with Vince and Gwendie. Talking about man things.

Aahhhhhhh, nothing says "Easter" quite like egg dying and a couple of glocks.

Seriously, that face.

We hid eggs all over the the backyard and Noah went to search 'em out. After about 5 seconds Mac turned to me and said, "I think we can rule out investigator for a future career for him." He passed about 8 eggs before looking about the yard in total confusion. Bless you baby.

Then we went to a friends house were the kido's did the same thing. And so did Noah. He would celebrate 1 egg while the other kids would take the remaining 5 in front of him. Our friend Whitney had to take him by the hand and show him where to find more eggs. Love you Noah, Noah.

The day ended with "egg wars". A tradition in Mac's family. You take your dyed eggs and smash tip to tip with the other eggs. Only one will survive this and ironically Noah's "Noah egg" was the one that stayed whole. Anyway, Happy Easter everyone. We have much to be thankful for on this day!!
