Swimming

Noah loves swimming. LOVES it. We've been going in the evenings since it's 120 degrees out. Well, Noah has decided he doesn't need his life jacket anymore. Can he swim? No. Do I let him take it off and almost drown? Yes. Why? I thought it would scare him into thinking he needed it again. A theory of mine that has failed. I try to keep it on him as much as I can...
I left him in the care of Mac's (which is bound to cause some trouble) while I went to the bathroom...like I do every 5 minutes.

Anyway, I come back and can't find Noah. I asked Mac we started looking around. Then I saw him (with his life jacket on) standing on the edge of the 20 ft. high dive. He was absolutely thrilled with himself for climbing up that ladder. The life guard told us it would be easier if he would just jump. So that's what I told my tiny, 3 year old son to do...JUMP. I counted to make him think it would be fun. As soon as I got to three he jumped. No fear, no hesitation. He came up laughing and yelling, "AHHHHAHHAA". The lifeguard was laughing at Noah's reaction. He might be one of those adrenaline junkies later on in life?
