Baby Blessing and Such...

So Grandpa and Grandma Poulton and Uncle Zeke came out for Wills blessing. I got one of my first photos (since the hospital, which by the by doesn't count) with Wills.

We also went to see Liberty Jail. Zeke and Noah hung out all the time...Noah was in heaven. He loves his uncle so much!! He also has very strong neutral feelings for his grandparents.

We got to go out to an Indian restaurant with some friends. It was really fun. Hey!! One of them is Indian too!! Isn't that INSANE???

That is what Wills did the entire time we ate.

Noah was so inspired by the Dove commercials that he decided to rub this crap all over his face, but the picture makes it look like a little soap. More like lotion soap.

Oh, have I not metioned that Mach had shoulder surgery? Cause he did. He LOVES wearing that braces all day and night. Sometimes when he showers I can hear him weep a little cause he can't get it wet. Poor thing. Out of love for it we've named it Donald Michaelsonton.

What a month

Hurray for Jen!! She came out for a short visit last weekend. It was great! We would stay up and talk every night and wake up beat for the new day. I can't believe how much fatter she is now! She aged about 12 years too!! Glad I don't have to be around THAT all the time. Seriously, Jen, no need for perfection.

We went to a sushi joint called Ra. It was fabulous. We were the only ones not decked out and sassy looking. We were, however, the only ones with a car seat. Ra- sex appeal.

We mostly sat around the house and ate crap food. Anyway, Noah misses her already and can't wait for the next visit.

Noah has found that Wills makes an excellent pillow, so he puts him on his stomach and watches tv from that angle. So selfless.

So big and strong!! Can't believe he's over 3 months old!

Good Times

So after the holidays we ordered Will his stocking (What?). It matched all of ours with our names embroidered on them, but with one smallll slip up. Aubrey?

Will was so appalled that he wouldn't even look at it.

Then I went to wake Noah up from his nap today and this is what I found.

A bed with a blanket on it?? SCREW THAT!! A trundle bed with a pee pad for a blanket??? NOW we're talkin'!
Then he got up and started playing with his bakugan toy and he thought I took it. I just laughed and took his picture. Yes, it's the thing that is cuddling up to his double chin/neck. Shhhhh.

I am a KIND parent, love my boys and have a "special" way of showing.

Where have you BEEN???

Geez! I kind of fell off the face of the earth for a while (not saying I'm back). Well, between Will's first month and second month of birth we've had some amazing times.
The Tippetts came from F-ing Spokane (a 28 hour drive) just to spend a weekend with us!! Noah was thrilled and I was so-so about it my clothes may have come off due to over excitement.
Noah and Ben played their little hearts out and may have had "pee wars" on our floors...turds.
I had the pleasure of seeing Lottie again and she is DARLING.

They spent so much time in the water it turned yellow. Had to make them shower.

Noah knows how to flex is muscles.

Megan and I did our best to ignore our children and focus on more "important matters" (i.e. what future hairstyle will we get, or how much I longer I can lie to Mac about my "stitches" still not being healed).

Christmas passed in a blur. I remember pumping...then...pumping...I got a Kindle!! Hooray! Now I can read my cheesy teen books in public!
Will got a Neptune Sea mat and Noah sleeps next to Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee.
Mac received a lot of workout equipment, which is funny cause didn't I just have the baby?

Anyway, Merry Christmas and I hope you've had a fab New Years holiday!

One Month Old!!!

Can you believe it!! Will is one month??!!! I can't believe how fast time flies when you're strung out on no sleep and all you do all day is nurse and pump.
Anyway, since he's been here I've learned a few things about him. One, he doesn't like getting his nostrils pinched together so I don't do that
more than 5 times a day. Also, I've learned that he farts...A LOT. Big ones that can last several seconds. And lastly, he's trying to smile!! It's so cute!! It doesn't look like a smile, but Noah smiled just like this right before he actually did...can't wait to see that dimple on command.
Here are some pics of the boys. None of me cause I am too pretty to be in any of them, besides I really don't feel like putting a bra on.

Obviously bath time is a hit.

Noah really adores his little brother...

William Mac Machan

Funny story birthing this little man, so please allow me to tell it.
Went to the doc on Wednesday and scheduled to be induced on Friday. She said I hadn't progressed from being a 1 and 50% effaced in 4 weeks. GREAT!
I called her that night to cancel the induction because I was nervous and didn't want to push my body into doing something it wasn't ready to do.
The next morning my water broke. Well, guess we were ready but the odd thing was that I hadn't had a single contraction. Since I was 10 weeks pregnant I had contractions on a regular basis.
So I showered called Mac (he didn't answer for another 2 hours) packed, called some people, etc... Then we went in at 12:00 to the hospital and at 2:00 I still hadn't gone into labor so they started me on petocin. I had the epidural at 5:00, which was nice especially when I got a weird tingling feeling in my butt and exclaimed, "my butt feels REALLY WEIRD!!!" and she thought he might be decending, but as soon as she came over to check me I farted. I thought it was hilarious. Every time after I would shout "TINGLING BUTT SENSATION COMING ON, CLEAR OUT!!". But by 7:00 the epidural had worn off in one spot. I just cried until Mac made me call the nurse in (shhhhh, I was in labor and can't really make decisions in that state) she checked me and I was not progressing past a 5 and 80% effaced. I knew what that meant. I was stuck and if I didn't DO something I was getting sectioned.
9:00 the doc came in and gave me a different numbing med. I was so relieved that I almost went to sleep right then. Nurse checked, same. So at 9:30 the doc came in to tell me they were going to monitor the contractions with a gadget that goes up there and if they weren't strong enough they'd give me more petocin and if that didn't work...So when she checked me to put the monitor up there she said, "I don't feel any cervix. He's really low. Let's get her ready for delievery!!".
Lindsey heard- "Skljfdi cervix adfiol. Pdfad jfkjsi. Kljsdf kdsjf ieurwnrb. Bdfba low. Kio78438gbeur!!!!" I honestly just sat and stared at her. The nurse that was there said to the doc, "I don't think she heard you." I don't know why. Maybe my eyes got that glazed look that they get my I try to process information. I just looked at Mac, doc, nurse and then back to Mac again.
Anyway, went from a 5 to a 10 in 30 minutes and 3 pushes later he was born. Our little Will Squill (it's a book I read to Noah about a boy named Will and a squirrel that were friends) was 6 lbs 15 .0z and 20 inches. Welcome to our home little man!! We love you!
PS. Like the blanket I made him?

What a week!!!

I was surprised to find out that my sisters were coming here for a visit about 7 hours before they flew in!! This might not sound like a big deal, but in the history of my family (Poulton side) that gesture has NEVER. BEEN. MADE. EVER. I was so shocked and overwhemled by it all that I had to touch them every so often to make sure they were really there and I wasn't having some
"third trimester episode" or something. Noah was in heaven because they spoil him with love!

Mac knew the whole time and was just as excited as I was, but he kept it on the down low until the day of...
While the Darlings were here we went to an expo to pick up Mac's marathon packet. Noah played some sort of kid tennis and I tried all the samples of things (do not recommend because they really don't sell good snacky foods). We shopped and went to lunch. I was so content...

So, as stated above-Mac ran a marathon...the day before his birthday and did GREAT! Then we went to T-Rex Cafe to celebrate. Noah was completely taken with it. It really is an amazing restaurant. Kind of like Rain Forest Cafe, but all dinosaurs.

Mac was given a mug that Noah painted. It's so darn ugly. Green, Orange and purple, but Mac loved it and will be able to use it (I hope). Happy 31st my Hummingbird Husband. You are truly loved.
