Do you ever smell a fart so putrid that you KNOW it's not yours? That you're POSITIVE that your spouse is just hiding in the closet farting away making you life miserable? Like (for example) you smell that rotten egg fart in the bedroom and you decide that your husband needs to be reminded that you breathe air as well. You leave the room (after looking in every nook and cranny for the culprit) go down the hallway, out the back door, over to the next apartment complex where your husband is just "innocently" playing basketball (for the past hour) and he looks at me with that doe-eyed expression like I've "LOST IT".
Well, if you have done something like that I'll let you in on a little secret. It's probably you. So I guess this is a "public apology" to Mac. Sorry. Also, sorry for aboutttttt the next 5 hours. Love you!

I'm it!!!
Ashlee Simper/Smoot "tagged" me. I've never been tagged so this was VERY embarrassing. Apparently when you get tagged you must take a picture of yourself right then and there, so this is what y'all get. I can't believe it! I feel so foolish! I haven't even given myself a glance all morning!! Oh, and then you have to tag more people? If this is the case I chose-Julie Knowlton (let are game begin), Danielle Haroldsen (sucker) and LESLIE BARNES. Come on...please.

Ironman

Mac completed a half marathon in Idaho two weeks ago. He did great considering he does about 1/8 the training. I sure hope Noah gets those genes. If not, he'll become an ironman of chocolate covered cinnamon bears.
So this weekend was the Coeur d'Alene Ironman. The real deal. Mac went there to see the starters. He came back singing "Eye of the Tiger". I guess that's what they were playing at the start line. Guess who's bound and determined to do it next year...? Me!! Just kidding. Mac. He's trying to recruit right now, so if you want to come really close to death...join him!! Good luck SUCKERS!

Funny Story
As some of you may know one of my baby sisters (Kate) is staying with us until we're settled (June 2010). Really I just haven't bought a plane ticket for her because I don't want to face the inevitable, but this is a funny story I had to share.
Kate and I were at a beauty supply store in the mall on Saturday (extremely good deals on hair care products). I guess I was a bit too touchy, or too old to be acting like a complete idiot. We were checking out at the same time and the girl at the counter asked if we were in town for the gay parade. Whoops!! APPARENTLY WHEN YOU'RE CONSTANTLY GRABBING YOUR SISTERS BOOBS PEOPLE GET THE WRONG IDEA. Honky-Squeezy.

Spokane Bound
We're here! It was an 11.5 hour drive and we did it without stopping!! Noah didn't cry or whine at all it was truly amazing, but when we got here he cried up until he went to bed.
We're about moved in and feeling a bit more settled.
Mac was a bit surprised when we arrived and found no walk-in closets. Wow. Really? Although the floor plan said so he didn't remember what it was like when we walked through it... He keeps arguing about it...OK! You're right about the paper!! Doesn't change the fact that invisiclothes can't fit in there!
Enough about that- Mac is doing all the hard work. I just sit around and talk about how this is a weird vacation and that we'll be home in no time.
Anyway, I miss all of you. We all do. Noah cried about Lailai and Tae. He keeps thinking we're going home and wants to play.
Thank you to all of our friends who we love so much (especially the Reams and Kents for the farewell parties). We love you and will keep you posted.

Mac Lee Machan, M.D.

August 2005 you were apart of the "White Coat Ceremony" for the new medical students at the University of Utah. You told me you felt like a "wanna be" in your coat. Luckily you spilled on it four seconds after you got it so you took it off.
You spent countless hours studying and many hours testing. Your hard work has paid off exam after exam. You have been diligent in all that has been required of you and you inspire so many to be better around you.
In the time you have been in school you have become a father. I am still amazed at the love, time and energy you put into Noah. He is truly blessed to have such a wonderful father.
You have been a wonderful spouse too. You still make me laugh everyday and still make me wonder, "why golf?" I love marveling at something and then you try to explain it to me...I usually end up singing the theme song to Care Bears, but you just laugh and keep trying.
You give your all and sacrifice so much in all you do. You are a marvel just to watch. Thank you for marrying me. Thank you for loving Noah so much. Your presence is such a joy (except when you play bad on the course).
We have watched you grow into a REAL physician and a father. We love you, I love you. Congratulations.

Fun in the Kaua'i Sun
We're back from Hawaii and man alive did we have fun!! We stayed at MOH's (Mom's spousal #3) house and it is AMAZING! We went with Sid, Liz, Charlie(5) and Jack(3) Baucom and Maike and Porter Jones. Noah followed Porter, Charlie and Jack around the whole time (he doesn't get much "boy time").
We spent a lot of time on the beach and swimming in the pool. Noah fell in love with the gecko's and wanted to pet them every night they came out. He also loved hermit crabs, which are small seashelled crabs. He loved sand and I'm pretty sure I haven't discovered all the places he's put it.
We went to a beautiful place with a waterfall and a really high rope swing. I did it!! I was sooo scared, but when I saw an 8 yr. old do it I was too prideful to back down. Also, there is a beach we call "Sand-bar-beach" (remember Jen?) and it has a waterfall you can kayak up to or a salt water beach to play on the other side. Noah was obsessed with the little guppy fish in the fresh water and wanted to chase them all day...ahhhh like mother, like son... He also wanted to be "nakies" the whole time...What? I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't grant him that at least once a day? Hence, the naked boy feeding the goats...and he wanted to sit on the "diggers" nude. Maybe it's a better experience?
Mac, Porter and Sid went on an 8 mile hike to a waterfall (one of the falls from Jurassic Park) and on the hike you go to a beach first. I remember it because it was super dangerous and had some fresh water with tadpoles in it. Well, now there's a sign there warning people to not swim (the riptide on that shore has taken 82 lives) so what does Porter do? He TESTS IT!! I don't know what it is about these curious little brainiacs!! He said it was a pretty strong current, but when he got home Mac ratted him out to Maike and she was less than pleased.
Anyway, thank you MOH and Kimbo for making it possible to go and providing such an amazing home!!!
